Mirko Venturi  (Ferrari 458 Italia) and Giacomo Barri (Lamborghini Gallardo) on pole

Black Bull Swiss Racing's driver led Vito Postiglione (Porsche GT3R) in the first session, while Imperiale Racing's driver ended on top proceeding Tommy Maino (Ferrari 458 Italia) in the second.

The two qualifying sessions for the last round of the Italian GT Championship under way in Monza took place this morning.

In the first session Mirko Venturi (Ferrari-458 Italia) set the pace in 1'48.840 and therefore the Black Bull Swisse Racing's driver earned the pole position of race-1 scheduled for this afternoon.

Vito Postiglione (Porsche GT3R-Ebimotors) will line up at his side as he posted a quickest time of 1'49.394, while Robert Renauer (Porsche GT3R -Tonino Motorsport) and Gabriele Lancieri (Ferrari 458 Italia-MP1 Corse) will occupy the second row.

Giacomo Barri (Lamborghini Gallardo-Imperiale Racing) has been the only driver breaking the wall of 1'49 in the second qualifying with a very good 1'48.625, which gave him the pole position of race 2. Front row start also for Tommy Maino (Ferrari 458 Italia-Black Bull Swisse Racing) who set a quickest time of 1'49.168.

Behind them, Alex Frassineti (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia) and Martin Ragginger (Porsche GT3R-Tonimo Motorsport).

Classification leaders Comandini-Colombo (BMW Z4-ROAL Motorsport) ended the two sessions in sixth and seventh position as were penalyzed by a top speed about 15 Km/h lower than that of other cars, while a lot of bad luck spoiled the performance of Dindo Capello and Andrea Sonvico (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia), who had problems with the gearbox in the respective sessions, element that will be replaced ahead of race-1 after the incident happened yesterday in free practice.

In GT Cup Mirko Zanardini (Lamborghini Gallardi-Bonaldi Motorsport) set the pole position of both sessions in 1'52.623 and 1'52.4218.

Race one (48 minutes + 1 lap) will start at 16.50 (GMT+2) with live coverage on Raisport 2 and web streaming at www.acisportitalia.it.
